The NCA Difference

Rooted in Christ

Christ is the foundation of an NCA education. Through Scripture and a biblical worldview, students are encouraged to know Christ, grow in faith, and understand their learning and lives in light of God's truth.

Known in
Community

We believe children learn and grow best when they are truly known. In our Christ-centred community, we seek to understand each child's gifts, needs, strengths, and ways of learning while cultivating relationships where students know they belong.

Equipped to Flourish

We nurture growth academically, spiritually, emotionally, and relationally. Students are encouraged to develop their gifts, grow in character, and build a strong foundation for learning and for life.

Learning at NCA

Meaningful learning begins with knowing the learner.

At NCA, we believe students thrive when they are challenged, supported, and actively engaged in their learning. Our teachers seek to understand how students learn while maintaining high academic expectations within a Christ-centred, Biblical worldview.

Innovative Academics

Grounded in the Ontario curriculum, NCA combines high academic expectations with a subject-focused teaching model. Beginning primarily in Grade 3, students benefit from learning with teachers who bring particular expertise and enthusiasm to the subjects they teach.

Responsive Teaching

Teachers seek to recognize students' individual strengths, needs, and ways of learning, providing appropriate challenge and support.

Engaged Learning

Learning extends beyond listening and memorization. Through hands-on exploration, thoughtful discussion, collaborative projects, and creative problem solving, students are encouraged to ask questions, examine ideas, and apply what they learn. These experiences develop curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the subjects they study.

Beyond the Classroom

French, music, athletics, chapel, field trips, and enrichment provide opportunities to discover gifts and develop new skills.

"The environment at NCA nurtures students through a strong partnership between families and staff. I am so grateful to walk into school every morning excited to see my students, knowing they are as excited to be at NCA as I am!"
